Are you SEEING SPOTS?

Spring is just around the corner and with that, we all love to get outside among the beautiful, new flowers and take the annual Spring pictures in the Texas Bluebonnets. While the bright, beautiful sunshine makes for some amazing photos, it also captures EVERY skin imperfection you may have. While Photo Facials don't actually involve “photos” of your face (except for your stunning before and after shots...), they use light to treat the skin, and are the perfect solution to address a number of specific skin problems you may have. What is even greater, they are easy, fast AND SAFE! (AND - there MIGHT just be a special on Photo Facial coming up soon - that can save you tons of money! Stay tuned!)

Le Beau Visage Medical Spa offers Photo rejuvenation, or IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Photo Facials with the Prolite II. It is one of our most popular and tried and true technologies - developed to rejuvenate the skin. The results include overall improvement in the skin texture, tone, reduced pore size and collagen building. It's used for many different skin problems - including the treatment of sun damage, vascular lesions, rosacea, angiomas, hyper pigmentation, melasma (and many more). Most patients who have spent a lot of time in the sun, and have tons of pigment issues (like freckles, sun and even age spots) use Photo Facial therapy to literally REMOVE these spots - and turn back the hands of time. A very positive side effect of IPL treatment for most patients is a general tightening of the skin - allowing for better tone, texture and reduced lines and wrinkles too!

For more information about the technology - and the Prolite II Intense Pulse Light system, contact Dr. Riehs at Le Beau Visage Medical Spa for your free skin care consultation, so your skin will be “picture-perfect” this Spring! Don’t forget to check back in March for our amazing PhotoFacial Special!

Sring Time Renewal With Exfoliation

Springtime is the best time to renew, restore and rejuvenate! Spring is all about turning over to new life - and it can be translated to your skin care too - at a cellular level. How can you do this? Why,exfoliation of course!

Exfoliation is the process of removing old and dead skin cells from your outermost layer of skin. It's a tried and true method of taking care of one's skin - and is used in many skincare products, medical procedures and cosmetic treatments.

You can exfoliate manually, or through the use of chemicals or medical-grade skincare products and treatments. What areas need to be exfoliated? Your whole body will benefit from exfoliation. Most people scrub up in the shower or bathtub - and are able to remove most of the oldest dead skin cells by this simple daily task.

Of course, exfoliation has been going on for centuries - from the ancient Egyptians (Cleopatra had some kickin' skin!) to present day - people have been removing the dead skin cells. It's said that wine was used as a chemical peel during the Middle Ages!

As skin cells die, they become saturated with keratin - which protects the skin from elemental damage. This makes the cells thicker, and through the aging process, causes the skin to become dry, uneven, and rough.

Exfoliation gently and naturally encourages removal of this outer layer of skin, revealing the new skin beneath. It also keeps skin clean and pores clear of clogging.

At Le Beau Visage - we offer several medical grade skincare products that will help the exfoliation process - as well as chemical peels and other treatments to help turn over the old... to bring forth the new skin, just like SPRING.

Finally - Rescue for ADULT ACNE

I know I'm not alone - suffering from adult acne. I just knew for sure - in my twenties - that the outbreaks of acne would go away. Breakouts still came. I figured certainly - in my thirties - that the unattractive and painful bumps would subside. They didn't. And every product on the shelf at the drugstores - was geared towards young skin - for those who were dealing with the trials of puberty - only to experience flawless skin the rest of their lives. Unfortunately - some of us aren't that lucky.

But now, SkinCeuticals - one of our premier skin care brands - has an entirely new line dedicated to acne-prone skin - ADULT acne prone skin. They've found the skin of people who have acne breakouts into adult hood ages differently - and possibly more quickly than other types of skin due to slower cell renewal. Signs of aging like rough, uneven and discolored skin and skin texture, larger pores and wrinkles - are all a result of the aging process and seem to be amplified with acne-prone adult skin types.

The secret to the line (specifically the SkinCeuticals LHA Serum) is the LHA, glycolic acid, and aminosulfonic acid compound which enhances keratolytic activity, eliminates surface cells by stimulating enzymes and encourages the natural sloughing and exfoliation process, and finally - opens and cleanses pores, all of which in turn improves the skin's texture and minimizes the look of fine lines.

It's brand new - and we've got it. Call us at 214-705-7676 to find out if it's right for you - and how our medical based skincare lines can help you achieve the results you're looking for.
